Entries in Works Cited, References, or Bibliography are put in alphabetical order by last names of authors, editors, translators, etc. The proper name for it should be Works Cited, as the works by multiple authors, not one, are cited.
In the case of a source with multiple authors, it is organized by the last name of the author listed first by that source.
Your title may take up one or two lines. If the conclusion of a research project is on page 7, page 8 would be the first page of the reference list. In Works Cited you only list items you have actually cited.
In a Bibliography you list all of the material you have consulted in preparing your essay whether or not you have actually cited the work.
The last name of the author is placed at the start of the reference, followed by a comma, and the first name of the author. End the field with a period. For example, Mark Twain, Dr. Whichever screen you land on—the form or the homepage—follow the steps on the screen to complete your reference.
